Collection Fix Me Up Spray

As a woman I am, like many, always wanting long lasting make-up. Especially with working in a job where I can't easily touch up my make-up every couple of hours I need it to stay put for at least 8 hours.

Using the right make-up to start with is always a bonus and I find the Revlon ColorStay range a god send. I do find it can sometimes look a little cakey, especially first thing in the morning. This is why at the moment I am loving the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation.

As I am always watching the pennies, like most of recent times, I am reluctant to use my MAC Fix+ spray as I don't want it to run out. This is why I have been on the look out for a cheaper dupe for it.

When I received the Collection Fix Me Up spray in my SheSaid beauty box I was thrilled as I could start my mission on finding a good Fix+ dupe.

I have been using it over the top of my Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation, which I have found doesn't have a long lasting wear. Over the past 7 days I have been using the Fix Me Up spray and I feel I am now ready to share my views to my lovely readers.

First of all the price is fantastic! If you hop over to the Superdrug website here it is a bargain at £3.99!!!

I love the packaging as it is black with the hot pink writing which I feel is simple but eye catching at the same time. The first thing you are hit with when you spray it on your face is the smell. To be honest it is one that I am not particularly fond of. It reminds me of cold tea, but not the good smell which you find in the Ginvera products, it is definitely off putting.

Also I find the product really wet which doesn't feel too nice on the skin and I found I have been standing around for a couple of minutes waiting for it to set. As for the longevity of the product, I found my make up hasn't been lasting any longer than before and overall I am quite disappointed as I am a HUUUUGE fan of the Collection primer!

Have you tried this product out? What are your thoughts? Just let me know in the comments below =D (like what I did there?!)

Enjoy your day!

MAC Jest Eyeshadow

For a long time I was searching for the perfect eyeshadow which could be my staple go to everyday eyeshadow within my make-up collection.

During a shopping trip I was trying to avoid going to my local MAC counter as usually, whenever I visit it, that is the start to my financial downfall for that month. No matter how much I tried to avoid it, I heard it calling my name and I could not resist any longer.
Although my MAC wishlist is longer than I would like, when I visited the counter there was nothing that came to mind that I had to buy there and then. So I had a look around and when I stopped at the eyeshadow one caught my eye which I just had to have... Jest.

As my MAC palette was rather bare I could easily justify purchasing it. When I got it home I  fell in love with it even more. It is the most gorgeous shimmery barely pink colour that just compliments the skin so well. It is such a perfect neutral colour and the shimmer is totally me.

As you can see from the above swatch, it is not an obvious pink colour, like I said just a gorgeous pale pink shimmery neutral for your collection.

I have used this practically every day since I got it and you can do so many looks with it. I love adding dark browns in the corner to create a gorgeous everyday smokey eye look. The eyeshadow is so versatile and can easily be worn for the daytime or night time and being from MAC is so long lasting.

What is your favourite MAC eyeshadow? Will you be trying this one out? What is your go to colour? Let me know =D

Enjoy your day

NOTD Pink Ombré Nails

One of the current trends that you can't ignore at the moment is ombré ... Well anything! All over YouTube you will find various tutorials on how to get ombré nails, eyeshadow, lips and even hair!

If you don't know what the ombré trend is all about, it is basically having gradient colour on your nails, eyes, lips, hair etc. So like me when painting your nails you go from dark to light or vice versa.

I thought I would get involved and give it a try on my nails. As you know I love the colour pink, therefore when trying to think of what colour to try this out with ... Pink was the obvious choice!

I was amazed at just how many pink polishes I have, the 5 I used didn't even touch the surface!

Ombré nails are so easy to do but look so effective! I urge you all to go and raid your polish collection and get involved. It is probably the most easy way of being on trend!

Here are the colours I used:

1: 17 Supreme Shine (Miami)
2: MUA (Shade 16)
3: La Femme Beauty (No name/number on bottle)
4: Elanor Nail Enamel (Shade 406)
5: Claire's Accessories (No name/number on bottle)

As you can see from the list of colours, none of the polishes cost me more than £4 but I have created a real eye catching look. It just goes to show, it's not about how much something costs, it's about how you make it look!

I hope you have a fab day!

MAC Pink Venus Eyeshadow

MAC eyeshadows, to me, are the god of all eyeshadows. I love the texture and the way they blend so easily with each other. In my make up collection I only have a few MAC eyeshadows and this one is the latest addition.

I have been wondering which one to get as my next purchase for a while now, I have Brule and Black Tide in my palette and a few odd colours here and there. As a spur of the moment purchase I bought my go to eyeshadow which is Pink Venus and, well, it is just gorgeous!

The eyeshadow is a gorgeous pink colour with silver sparkles running throughout. Unfortunately the eyeshadow would not photograph well so I couldn't get a good enough swatch for you.

Like I said before, I love how the MAC eyeshadows blend and go on, also I love how pigmented they are. A little really does go a long way! This is definitely my go to eyeshadow now as it is a perfect spring daytime colour and the sparkles give it that little something extra.

As always, a winner yet again from MAC and would recommend this to any pink lover out there! You can buy this from the MAC website or from any MAC counter for £10.50 ... bargain!

Enjoy your Day

Shopping Haul .. MAC, MUA, Primark

As the weather wasn't too bad yesterday, I decided to go to my local city and see what bargains I could pick up. My main priority was make up but I also had a Primark gift card left over from Christmas which I wanted to use up.

My first stop was to Superdrug to see what MUA and Sleek bargains I could pick up. I was hoping they would have the MUA BB cream but to my disappointment they didn't have it. Also that particular Superdrug does not stock the MUA palettes. I did pick up the pressed powder in Shade 1, the Eyebrow pencil in Brunette, the Nail Varnish in Shade 16 (I had ordered it online but when it arrived it had no brush attached. I had sent MUA an e-mail telling them this but I had no response but I thought for £1 it is no great loss), and the blusher in Shade 6 which had conveniently smashed before I got it home.

Image Ref : MUAstore.com
Even though I tried SO hard to avoid Debenhams and the MAC counter, I heard it calling my name and I just HAD to go inside. Staring at all of the beautiful colours, this one stood out for me. It is Pink Venus and I love it. It is a light pink colour with some silver sparkles. It is beautiful and I know this will now be my go to eyeshadow on a daily basis!

Once I had decided to purchase the eyeshadow I quickly ran out of Debenhams as I knew I would spend FAR too much money on the other counters.

Moving on to the cheaper side of the city, I headed to Primark where I picked up some pretty good stuff. I had £23 left on a giftcard from Christmas and I wanted to spend it soon as it would be hanging around in my purse for MONTHS otherwise.
Usually I go into Primark and see one or two items I like and that's it, not yesterday, apparently Primark were having a 'let's have lots of nice things so Jazmine buys them' day!
I was very strict with myself and came out with only a few things. I bought sunglasses, face wipes and a orange and mango smoothie candle. Also you will see the Aussie shampoo and contidioner which I picked up from Superdrug at 2 for £6.99.

Also from Primark I bought a pair of hot pink chinos and a Barbie top. Now as you may know I am a lover of all things pink. Well my love of Barbie is just as great. Anything Barbie I must have ... some may see that as slightly odd for a 22 year old but in my eyes, she can do no wrong! I was super happy when I found this top and I know I will be wearing all the time!

Please excuse messy looking room ... it's really not that bad!
I am sure I bought a couple of other things but really can't remember what they were.
That was my shopping trip and my purchases which I am very happy about! I am sure I will be reviewing some of the stuff I bought but if you want me to review anything specific you see on this page just leave a comment below and I will see what I can do =D

I am off to go watch Disney Heros and Princess' on Ice now!
Ciao for now,
Jazmine

My Lipstick/Lipgloss collection

First of all I would like to say that I have not chosen this post as a way to brag about what I have or even to moan about what I don't have. I wanted to see just what colours I had in my lip collection and thought I would share it with you. I personally do not think I have a large collection of make up and my lip products are what I have the most of. What you will find is that most of the products in this post are very low end and I probably only have one or two high end products in my collection.

This is my total collection, I hasten to add I am moving house soon and I intend on having a proper vanity table with proper drawers for storage so this is just a temporary measure.

I decided to separate my collection into different colours to see what I have, as quite frankly I tend to go to the same products each time and there are a lot I haven't used for ages. I have picked out my 2 favourite colours from each group to show you!

This group is my clear/very very light lip products. In this I have a couple of 17 minis, 17 lipstick in Shell and a sun protection balm for your lips. My 2 favourites are the Miss Guided Lipsplash and the 17 lipstick in Shell. What I love about the Miss Guided lipsplash, which i totally forgot about, is the smell! It reminds me of the Soap & Glory Mother Pucker lipgloss, it is like a chocolatey orange smell which I adore. I got this lipgloss ages ago free with a magazine. The 17 lipstick is a fab colour, it is a very very light pink, almost white shimmery colour which looks fab with a smokey eye. Unfortunately I couldn't take a photo of the swatch as it wasn't showing up.

This group is my light pinks. If you have read previous posts of mine, you will know that I am obsessed with the colour pink and I love having pink lips. In this group I have a couple of products from ELF, my YSL Pink Diamond and the MUA Out There plumping gloss in Candy Pink.

My 2 favourite light pink products are the Lush! Celebrate Lip Tint and the Revlon ColorStay Liquid Lipstick in 004 Prime Pink. The ColorStay Liquid Lipstick is a gorgeous candy pink colour and I have written a review on these lipsticks here. The Lush! Lip Tint is a gorgeous shimmery colour that gives your lips just a hint of a pinky colour. The tint lasts quite a long time and I would say you need to reapply every couple of hours.

This group is my hot pinks. Unfortunately the colours did not come out as well as I would have hoped in these pictures. In this group I have my Barbie lipbalm in Bubblegum, my GHD lipgloss which I got as a free gift with my straightners and a mini 17 lipgloss.

My 2 favourites here are one in which I have lost the lid therefore it is unidentifiable, I do know the colour is called Cosmo and it is a gorgeous creamy deep pink colour. The other is a mini 17 lipgloss which doesn't have a name or a shade on the tube but it is a gorgeous pink with gold sparkly particles in (always a winner).

This is my group of reds and purples. I have more purples than I first thought, I think this may be an indication that this is my least favourite lip colour. I have more mini 17 lipglosses, a couple of Playboy ones and a Chilli Pepper one.

My 2 favourites are my trusty Revlon Colorstay Liquid Lipstick in Stellar Sunrise and believe it or not a Playboy one. The ColorStay is pretty self explanatory by now, you can all pretty much guess that I am a HUGE  fan of them. The Playboy lipgloss is surprisingly well pigmented and stay on a long time. The only downside to them is that they are quite sticky.

Finally we get to the browns and nudes! Next to light pinks, these are my favourite colours to wear. In this little lot I have another Revlon ColorStay Liquid Lipstick, MUA Out There plumping gloss and my NYX lipgloss which I have a review for here.

My 2 favourites are my Accessorize lipgloss and my NYX lipgloss. The Accessorize is a gorgeous bronze colour with big pieces of gold shimmer is and the NYX is more of an orangy colour with small silver shimmer in it.

Well there you go my whole lip collection, like I said, I am not doing this to show off what I had, I just wanted to go through my collection and re-introduce products in to my life and take you along with me =D

I hope you enjoyed!
See you soon

YSL Lipsticks ... And My Love For Them

I decided to do a post a little different today and tell you about my love for YSL lipsticks.

When I was working abroad (in Europe), my accessibility to make up wasn't the best. I worked in Portugal, Rhodes (Greece) and Lanzarote. I would say that Portugal was the easiest to find make up. Only the higher end brands such as Dior, Chanel, YSL etc were available which would be quite costly.

When I was in Lanzarote however, there was a lot of perfume shops with discounts all over the place trying to get you to buy from them. In most of them they had small displays of the higher end make up. During my time there I bought two YSL lipsticks and absolutely love them both. I bought each for around 15 Euros which I suppose is the equivalent to £15 these days, which I thought was a real bargain.

As you can probably tell they are very worn as at one point I used them religiously. I love the YSL packaging and I love that each line of lipstick has a unique case design.

The top lipstick in the picture is part of the Rouge Pur Couture line and where you see the black band the lid just pulls off. The bottom lipstick is part of the Rouge Pur Shine line and I think this case is fantastic. You push the top of the packaging down and then pull the lipstick out. I like the way the coloured block is different depending on which lipstick colour you choose.

Now onto the colours ... I am a little obsessed with anything pink. In fact I would say I am majorly obsessed. This is the same for lips, I love a good pink lip. The Rouge Pur Couture lipstick is #26 Rose Libertin which is a fantastic hot pink colour. The Rouge Pur Shine lipstick is #11 Pink Diamond, this colour is a very light pink, almost sheer with tiny glittery sparkles in to make your lips all shimmery and gorgeous.

The lipsticks are so creamy and moiturising to put on that they feel fantastic one you put them on your lips. Both of them have an SPF 15 so you can wear them in the sunshine and not have to worry. Also they last quite a while, I would say you don't need to reapply for 2-3 hours.

You can purchase these lipsticks and more on the YSL Beauty website which I shall pop at the bottom of this post for you. They cost £23.50 which is slightly more than I would probably pay but I would say they are worth every penny. If you are looking for one high end purchase in your make up kit I would definitely say that YSL lipsticks are the ones to consider!

What is your favourite lipstick? Do you have a favourite brand? Just leave a comment below =D

NOTD pastels with glitter

I thought I would show off my nails and show you the colours I used to create this look. I absolutely adore all of the pastel nail looks I have seen around and I thought it was about time I created one myself and now the sun is shining more often it has really put me in that Spring/Summer mood.

The polishes I have used are from 3 different brands and I just pulled them out of my polish collection. I do my own gel nail extensions at home and I use natural tips as I don't like the french manicure look and I usually want something sparkly and colourful which is why I opted for this look.

So for my thumb I used this Elanor pale pink polish #406. This was just a very cheap polish I bought whilst working overseas but i just love the candy pink colour. Over the top I used Miss Sporty Sparkle Touch glitter. It has small silver bits of glitter and bigger bits of blue and purple and I think it is just fab.

For my index finger I used this mint green colour which is quite pearly in its appearance and I fell in love with it the moment I saw it. It is Miss Sporty from the Clubbing Colours range and only cost £2.99. I got mine from Boots but you can find it in Superdrug also.

The colour I used on my middle finger is from MUA it is shade 24 and a lovely matte lilac colour. I thought this was perfect for spring and I think I will be using this one a lot. This polish only cost £1 from the MUA website but you can also buy MUA products at selected Superdrug stores.

For my ring finger I used a Natural Collection polish. I can't see the exact name of the colour as it has worn off the label but it is a fantastic coral colour. It is more orange than I hoped for but it is one I could not leave on the shelf. This cost me around £1.99 from my local Boots store. Over this I used the Miss Sporty Sparkle Touch to make it look more pretty.

I used another MUA polish on my little finger, this time shade 9 which is a fantastic blue colour. This is slightly darker than I wanted for this look and I think next time I will try a lighter blue but I love the colour of this polish. Again it cost me only £1 from the MUA website which just makes it excellent value for money.

On my other hand I swapped over the colours so I used the blue for my thumb, the coral for my index finger, the lilac for my middle finger, the green for my ring finger and the pink for my little finger. I decided to do this just so it looked a bit different.

There you have it my NOTD which I love and I will probably have these nails for a long long time!

I hope you liked!

Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Liquid Lipstick

When I first heard about these I must say I was very sceptical. Being a lover of lipgloss, I was unsure if I could be converted to a lipstick lover. Don't get me wrong I do occasionally wear the odd lipstick but I definitely didn't think I would all the time.

Boots recently had an offer on where you bought a revlon foundation you got any lip product FREE, so I thought I would give these a go.

I now have three from the range and my overall verdict ... I LOVE them!!! They stay on and do not budge! I eat, drink and talk all day and only reapply in the evening if I am going out.

At first while it is drying the product can feel slightly sticky but I just lick my lips and it is fine! The great thing is with these is that you can build up the product creating a stronger colour. I would say you need to let the first application dry before the second.

I would give these a 9/10 and would recommend them to anyone! They are currently £8.99 or 2 for £10 in Boots, well worth the money if you ask me!

The colours I have are:
004 prime pink
070 best bubbly
060 stellar sunrise

*Sorry about the lighting, it is a very dull day.*
